Meen Kulambu Masala combines authentic coastal spices to create a tangy, aromatic fish curry. It enriches every dish with deep flavors, perfect consistency, and a traditional taste that captures true South Indian culinary heritage.

Ingredients

Red Chili, Coriander seeds, Cumin, Fennel seeds, Pepper, Dhal, Fenugreek, Turmeric, Rice, Curry leaves & Poppy seeds

 

How to Use

Fry 100 ml of onion and shallots in oil until golden. Combine with 10 garlic pods and 4 tbsp Karvi Meen Kulambu Masala and grind into a smooth paste. Heat gingely oil in a pan, then saute mustard seeds, curry leaves and 50g onion shallots and optionally stir in 1 chopped tomato and cook until soft. Mix in the masala paste, tamarind juice, water and salt. Bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes, then mix in ground coconut paste for a richer flavor. Gently add in 1 kg fish and once cooked, serve your flavorful Meen Kulambu, or use the masala for vegetarian puli kulambu.

 

Storage

Once opened, transfer contents to an airtight jar for long lasting freshness.
